Description: DIHs play an important role in implementing programmes that support the development of innovative solutions to the world’s pressing problems. To increase the effectiveness and impact of these programs for  participants, DIH leaders need to be able to monitor progress, evaluate outcomes and learn from evidence. Findings from our research, however, showed that many DIHs leaders need to be better equipped to use MEL tools and strategies to measure and communicate the success of their programmes which in turn affects their ability to raise funding.

AfriconEU, the first Trans-continental Networking Academy for African and European Digital Innovation Hubs in partnership with African Technology Business Network (ATBN), will host a capacity-building webinar on “Impact Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning” to provide participants with a basic understanding of the best practices for impact monitoring, evaluation and learning to better contribute to the success of their programmes.

The webinar will introduce participants to impact strategy basics, MEL (Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning) frameworks, and practical tools. It will also enable them to understand impact terminologies and language to enable them to communicate their impact better.
