DIH Business Model | ITC Online Webinar
On July 20th, 2022, ITC – Innovation Technology Cluster organized an Online Webinar about the Business Models from the perspective of the Digital Innovation Hubs. The invited speakers presented their good practices, case studies, and opinion on the challenges DIHs face in creating their business model.
The event started with Peace Odili from Emerging Communities Africa introducing the AfriConEU Project to the audience, highlighting the future events they can participate in under the umbrella of the AfriConEU Networking Academy. Sasa Straus, Senior Expert at ITC presented the added value of DIHs in the ecosystem, stating that “If you as a Digital Innovation Hub are not connecting technologies & businesses, then you are not actually a Digital Innovation Hub”.
Romualdas Petraitis, a Member of the Board at Smart Energy DIH showed insights from the smart energy innovation ecosystem. Smart Energy DIH brings together major research, business and public stakeholders in Lithuania for the common development and implementation of digital transformations in renewable energy, eco-design, environmental protection, circular business model development and associated sectors that meet European citizens’ needs. Did you know that at the Lithuanian Ministry of Economy and Innovation initiative, 19 DIHs have been established and operate in Lithuania?
In the Online Webinar, participants engaged in discussions during the presentations, making the event interactive and a good platform to build their network. Gideon Brefo, CEO of HapaSpace emphasized the importance of collaboration: “We work faster only if we collaborate with others”.
