The AfriConEU Networking Academy in collaboration with ATBN held on the 25th of January, an online webinar on “Valuations of Projects, Financial Management, and Projections”. The aim of the event was to explore various valuation methods for innovative projects, including discounted cash flow, scorecards, and benchmarking. The webinar also delved into key aspects of financial reporting, such as income and cash flow metrics, market size, and growth rates.

The webinar was led by Eunice Baguma Ball, Director of ATBN. Joseph Gaylord, Analyst at dpixel, discussed the AfriConEU project and encouraged participants to get involved in future sessions of the Academy. The keynote speaker, Kenneth Legesi, CEO/CIO of Ortus Africa Capital, brought a unique perspective to the discussion by analyzing the various acceptable methods of business valuation and the importance of good financial management through practical case studies. He also emphasized the questions that should be asked before using a particular valuation method.
