On 2nd and 3rd of November 2022, Emerging Communities Africa held a Parallel session of the AfriConEU International Brokerage Event at Akure Tech Hub, Ondo State Nigeria. The event was focused on promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing between the African and European innovation ecosystems.

In attendance were startup founders in the Agritech sector, Digital Innovation Hub Managers, Entrepreneurs and 2 AfriConEU Ambassadors from Lagos, Nigeria to mention a few. On day one of the event, we had various panel sessions across the Agritech, Edtech and Fintech sectors, fun games, and a networking session.

To finalize the event on day two, we had 3 Worldcafe tables were participants freely discussed on the following topics.

• Digitalization, jobs for the 21st century and employment opportunities.
• Scouting digital entrepreneurs and startups in the African market.
• Towards a common digital market and a connected startup ecosystem.

A main highlight of the event was the networking session as participants began to connect based on discussions from the Worldcafe tables.
