On March 18th, 2022, ITC – Innovation Technology Cluster organized an Online Webinar about DIH strategy and strategy resources. The webinar offered practical advice for digital innovation hubs on the strategic background and how to develop their Strategy using the available framework. The invited speakers shared their experiences on how they identified their market, services, and technology focus and how they developed their business based on their Strategy.

Sasa Straus, Senior Expert at ITC gave an introduction about strategy and summarised its importance for DIHs, that it does not just outline the shared goals of the organization but is essential for success and sustainability. Afterward, Kristina Karanikolova from TNO led the participants in the process of strategic development. Later on, Josiah Elyson the Co-founder & CEO of iSpace Foundation presented about strategic planning and discussed the process of making decisions on resource allocation to pursue the planned strategy. As well the participants could get to know two case studies from Africa and Europe. Daniel Copot, manager of DIH AGRIFOOD showed insights from the field of agriculture and food production, projecting the future orientations for the sector. Josiah Elyson gave an engaging presentation about his organization, highlighting the importance of gender inclusion and women founders. Finally, as a framework for the insightful presentations, Tania Moriera from INOVA+ presented AfriConEU and introduced future events for the participants where they can actively get involved in the project.
