Description: The AfriConEU Capitalization Event aimed to bring together consortium members, program participants, success stories, public sector representatives, and the wider public. Its purpose was to provide a platform for reflecting on the project’s significant impact, exploring opportunities for innovation, and discussing policy recommendations. Furthermore, the event seeked to strengthen connections within the innovation ecosystem, setting the stage for future collaborative initiatives and policy efforts between Africa and Europe.

The event featured a well-planned itinerary, starting with a visit to UPTEC, a prominent Portuguese Science and Technology park that houses a Digital Innovation Hub (DIH). Following that, participants gathered for a productive day at the esteemed Porto Business School to discuss the project’s achievements and future directions. They also had the opportunity to participate in the Porto Tech Hub Conference, where they presented AfriConEU’s activities and accomplishments to the global tech community. The event concluded with a memorable closing ceremony.
