AfriConEU participated in the Emerging Valley Online Edition on the 7th and 8th of April 2021. The project’s partners interacted with the event’s speakers, Startups, Tech Hubs, and Investors from various countries, creating networks for potential collaborations. 

Emerging Valley was established in 2017 and is essentially the international summit that attracts a range of stakeholders to Provence, including investors, African Startups, and emerging digital ecosystems that want to increase their international appeal, expand their business relationships and accelerate their impact on a global scale. Emerging Valley functions as a gateway between African and European technology. 

It thus offers a unique opportunity for the participants to “discover new innovative territories emerging in the south, explore and invest in the digital solutions of tomorrow by connecting with African tech champions, collaborate to build scaling strategies between Africa, the Mediterranean, and Europe”.

AfriConEU’s partners communicated the project and provided information, answered questions, and clarified doubts regarding the project’s objectives. The partners attended several sessions to enrich their knowledge on the Startup Ecosystem, Digital Innovation in Africa, and Female Entrepreneurship, among other topics. AfriConEU has become part of a new, innovative business ecosystem and network with other initiatives in the same field and will join forces for their future activities.
