On December 10th, Emerging Communities Africa participated in the TEDx YabaStreet event held in Ondo State, Nigeria. This independent TED event focused on sharing diverse knowledge and exploring ideas related to technology, business, and entertainment. At the event, Triumph Ogeh, the Communications person for ECA, presented on the AfriConEU project, including its objectives and opportunities.

At the core of the theme, DISCOVER, is the quest to tell the untold stories of the Ondo community and her culture. Blessed with a plethora of intriguing ideas and a profusion of energy, we seek to help young people discover themselves and tell their own stories. We believe there’s a need to discover what has been lost in time and demand to understand what has been misunderstood. We are interested in exploring ideas that would trigger a ripple effect, leading to the rediscovery of the hidden potential of the youths and the emergence of a confident society. We want to see the phoenix rise again and her children become better. Conversations around at TEDxYabaStreet: Discover, will explore ideas around technology, business, and entertainment. We hope that these conversations would birth a community of enlightened, young and vibrant changemakers across the broad spectrum of professionals in our society.
