In the framework of the new initiative of the project, the AfriConEU Ambassadors, ECA organized an orientation day to present the project, welcome volunteers and discuss about their tasks and responsibilities. In total 144 persons applied for the AfriConEU Ambassadors positions (49 from Nigeria, 35 from Uganda, 44 from Ghana, 13 from Tanzania, 1 from the Democratic Republic of Congo, 1 from  the UK, and 1 from  Germany). The Orientation Day took place on Tuesday, 23rd August 2022 in the zoom platform with 44 attendants. The majority of the ambassadors are individuals with prior experience in volunteering for programs around SDGs, entrepreneurs, and tech savy young people. The session was held to familiarize ambassadors with the AfriConEU project and introduce them into the program. They were given a breakdown of their tasks and Key Performance Indicators, questions and were answered and benefits of being part of the program were highlighted. The Ambassadors have been onboarded to the discord server for easy and swift communication as well as tracking and monitoring of their KPIs.
